The X-Files may have been a cultural phenomenon, but the iconic TV show has run its course and a twelfth season would not be a good idea. Its been so long since I watched the X-Files that this upcoming season seems almost like a reboot to me even though its so obviously not. Ugh We dont see him go back to his family. The breakneck two-minute promo unveiled at the beginning of Sunday’s X-Files panel and embedded above for your viewing pleasure offers the first footage from the latest revival (aka Season 11). The X-Files is a phenomenon and with every 'last season' rumors persist that it'll return, perhaps this time the show should be rebooted instead. I liked that the episode seemed like it was simply going to be a monster of the week and certainly the title would lead you to believe that too and then suddenly we’re deep in the mytharc. This was the first episode in the alien mythology arc that’s really felt like it was at least somewhat tightly written.

This just makes Robocop look like one over glorified pussy. Fox has released another teaser for next years revival of The X-Files, featuring more new footage from Mulder and Scullys TV reunion. Really pushed the political filmmaking stance like the original had. The trailer alone showed how the Hollywood style has buttfucked yet another film in the ass. In addition to the trailer, there’s also an ominous poster for the series featuring The Smoking Man, which you can see in the gallery. (These were the guys responsible for the fiendishly funny “Jose Chung’s From Outer Space” and the Texas Chainsaw Massacre-esque “Home.” Yeah, they are awesome.) The bookend episodes will be handled by series creator Chris Carter, while the monster-of-the-week episodes will be handled by Darin Morgan, Glen Morgan, and James Wong, who were the best writers from The X-Files‘ original run. I can only assume the middle episodes will carry forward the overarching conspiracy plotline, but that remains to be seen. A dysfunctional cast is forced back together and must deal with their unresolved issues in today’s fast-changing world. She mentioned that the six-episode miniseries will feature two bookending conspiracy-themed episodes with monster-of-the-week episodes in between.
