The X-Files may have been a cultural phenomenon, but the iconic TV show has run its course and a twelfth season would not be a good idea. Its been so long since I watched the X-Files that this upcoming season seems almost like a reboot to me even though its so obviously not. Ugh We dont see him go back to his family. I liked that the episode seemed like it was simply going to be a monster of the week and certainly the title would lead you to believe that too and then suddenly we’re deep in the mytharc. This was the first episode in the alien mythology arc that’s really felt like it was at least somewhat tightly written.
